NAU Agents,
Due to extreme wet conditions in the past weeks, RMA has taken notice and clarified and stated the following, "If you are unable to harvest by the calendar date for the End of the Insurance Period (EOIP) due to extreme wet or snowy conditions, you may request additional time to harvest beyond the calendar date for the EOIP, from your crop insurance company."
December 10th is the end of the insurance period for Corn and Soybeans. The calendar date contained in the crop provisions for the end of the insurance period page 2 in section 7 Insurance Period (a)corn insured as grain (3) and (d) for soybeans.
Please make sure you review the News report below so that you understand the criteria that must be met in order for additional harvest time to be allowed past the EOIP.
